Born on February 17, 1986, in Biratnagar to actress Radha Lamsal, Arunima grew up surrounded by the performing arts. Her mother’s career in Nepali cinema provided both inspiration and a natural pathway into the film industry. Arunima made her film debut in the early 2000s and quickly established herself as one of the most sought-after leading actresses in Nepali cinema, starring in a string of successful films including Yestai Rahechha Jindagi (2003), Dhadkan (2004), and Santan (2004).

Her filmography spans numerous titles across the 2000s, including Jaal (2005), Sanjivani (2005), Abhimanyu (2006), and Agni Jwala (2007).
